Brahmāstra Part 1:
Shiva (releasing 9 Sep 2022) is made in Hindi and will have four other dubbed versions in South languages Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. (Karan Johar is among the producers)
The makers of Brahmāstra chose SS Rajamouli and Dhanush to present the upcoming film to larger audiences in the South (share the logo, motion poster, teaser etc. in South languages).
This is a clever idea. Despite the Hindi audience’s dislike for Karan Johar, Rajamouli’s endorsement will attract South audiences to theaters. I believe even Hindi viewers will come in better numbers upon seeing Rajamouli’s presentation of South trailers.
