Alia Bhatt starring in the crime drama “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and actor Karthi, one of the biggest names in Tamil cinema and Suriya’s younger brother, has praised the film.
Karthi used Twitter to share his opinions on the movie, which has received praise from a variety of social groups.
“Gangubai is such a great film,” Karthi exclaimed. Alia Bhatt is talented beyond measure. She bursts forth, melts, and sparkles while maintaining her innocence. Films by Sanjay Leela Bhansali are consistently lavish and beautiful. This one is truly unique. It has such heart. Fantastic actors, writers, and crew!!
In the movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt plays a young girl named Ganga who becomes a madame in Kamathipura’s red light district to defend the rights of sex workers.
The movie is partially inspired on the life of Gangubai Harjivandas, also known as Gangubai Kothewali, whose biography was chronicled in S Hussain Zaidi’s book “Mafia Queens of Mumbai.”
