Ellyse Perry was one of the well-known names to keep an eye on among the 29 Australians up for sale. With a reserve price in the auction of INR 50 Lakh, Perry positioned herself in the top tier. The seasoned all-arounder has made a name for herself as a model team member. It therefore came as no surprise when teams like the Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore started raising their paddles for the Australian star right away.

Ellyse Perry attains historic feat in T20Is
It is important to note that the ace all-rounder accomplished a remarkable milestone in the T20Is by becoming the first Australian to score more than 1500 runs and take more than 100 wickets in the competition. This happened after the 32-year-old right-hander beat New Zealand in the current Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa, scoring 40 runs in just 22 balls.

As many as 246 Indians are part of the auction whereas 163 players are from the overseas nations, of which eight players belong to the associate nations. The competition is scheduled to be played between March 4 and March 26 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
