BOX OFFICE COLLECTION FOR TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR
It appears that many people are packing the theatres to see Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. According to trade reports, the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor movie made Rs 15 crore on its first day in India. The first day’s sales for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar were revealed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. He tweeted: “On day 1, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar does EXTREMELY GOOD. Holi celebrations gave several regions a lift, while Mumbai, where Holi was celebrated on the working day, lost out on a substantial portion of business. Wednesday: â115.73 crore India commerce (sp).”
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar performed admirably on day one, with collections hovering around the 14 crore nett threshold, according to Box Office India. Holi has aided the movie in several places, but it has also suffered some financial losses as a result of Holi falling a day early in some states. Although it appears better on paper, the film’s earnings would have been closer to 16 crore nett if it had been a regular Holi. But, if the audience is watching, the shortfall will be easily made up in the long term.
“The film has scored quite well in NCR and Gujarat/Saurashtra with the latter being attributed to Holi which is like a national festival in those two states,” the source continued. The weak side in Maharashtra and there the film has to do better especially in Mumbai city and Pune where these type of films have more potential. The collections are also a bit low in UP but here its a prolonged Holi period so they may well be higher tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar had an overall 22.42 per cent Hindi Occupancy on Wednesday, March 8
Tushar Joshi, the entertainment editor for IndiaToday.in, gave his opinion on Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. He praised the film and said the following in the review: “The writing in TJMM alternates between being hysterically humorous (for the majority of the second half’s climax) and uncomfortably cringe-worthy (the family nokjhok of the first half). In fact, the second half starts off so strong that you get the impression that Ranjan has a team of new writers working on the intricate love tale. Although Ranbir Kapoor’s “casanova act” isn’t original, we should applaud him for his excitement throughout each sequence. He flawlessly shapes himself to fit into the Luv Ranjan multiverse. I’m referring to it as a multiverse because Kartik Aaryan and Nushratt Bharucha, two of Ranjan’s favourite actors, appear in a complete crossover scene.”
The title of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar was previously revealed by the film’s creators in an original manner. Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are collaborating for the first time at this event. The movie was released on March 8, 2023, which was Holi 2023 weekend. Produced by Luv Productions and T-Series Films, the romantic comedy movie stars Luv Ranjan and was written and directed by him. Boney Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, and Anubhav Singh Bassi all had significant supporting roles in the movie. Pritam is the film’s music composer. Amitabh Bhattacharya is responsible for all of the lyrics. The main characters of the movie are Ranbir and Shraddha, who fall in love quickly yet find it difficult to break up.
