Pulwama Attack: Odisha-based sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik paid tribute to the jawans killed in the attack by creating a sand sculpture.
A terrorist attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir, claimed the lives of over 40 members of the CRPF in 2019. Sudarsan Pattnaik, an Odisha-based sand artist, paid tribute to the jawans killed in the attack by making a sand sculpture as a special gesture.
Mr. Pattnaik posted a photo of the sculpture on Twitter. “Tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama!! #NeverForgetNeverForgive,” he captioned the photo. Two kids can be seen in the image putting flowers at the Amar Jawan Jyoti as a sign of respect. The sand art also features a soldier’s helmet and an inverted bayonet. The post has received over 11,000 views and a thousand likes since it was published on Twitter.

Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honoured the members of the CRPF. He tweeted: “Keeping in mind the brave heroes we perished on this day in Pulwama. Never will we forget the ultimate sacrifice they made. We are inspired by their bravery to create a powerful and advanced India.”
