Shahid Afridi penned an emotional note for his daughter Ansha, who got married to Shaheen Afridi recently.
Ansha, the daughter of Pakistan’s renowned cricketer Shahid Afridi, is the bride of Pakistan’s pace phenom Shaheen Shah Afridi. In a lavish ceremony held in Karachi on Friday, February 3, the pair exchanged vows. At the Nikaah Ceremony were a number of Pakistani cricketers, including the captain Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, and many others.
Following the wedding, the bride’s father, Shahid Afridi, wrote a heartfelt letter to his daughter, wishing her the very best for her future with Shaheen. (See pictures from Afridi’s wedding here.)

Shaheen has been hampered by persistent injuries in cricket. He was unable to play for Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022, but he is currently en route to a comeback. The 22-year-old bowler recently admitted that he had once considered giving up cricket because of his dissatisfaction with ailments. But he revealed that he used to watch his old bowling footage to stay inspired.
Since the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is scheduled to start on February 13, Shaheen will probably return to action soon. Lahore Qalandars’ captain, Shaheen Afridi, will lead his team against Multan Sultans in the first game of the new season.
