By Janani K– James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water completed a month in the theatres and is still having a dream run at the box office. The film has now surpassed the $2 billion-mark worldwide. According to reports, Avatar: The Way of Water is the sixth film to achieve this milestone at the box office. In an earlier interview, James Cameron said that the film needs to make at least $2 billion to break even. He further added that this will help him decide on further sequels.

On January 16, Avatar: The Way of Water premiered in theatres. Over the past month, the movie has enjoyed a tremendous run in India and other nations.
Trade expert Ramesh Bala announced on Twitter that the movie’s global box office has reached $2 billion. Avatar: The Way of Water is now the sixth movie to achieve this feat. He noted: “At the worldwide box office, #AvatarTheWayOfWater grosses $2 Billion. Only the sixth film to achieve so.”
